The innovative proposal seeks to transform a key part of the Mount Pleasant Industrial Area. This architectural endeavour envisions a significant community center that will feature cutting-edge industrial office spaces coupled with lively street-level retail facilities.

The architectural composition of the project consists of a blend of historical and contemporary elements. This includes a 5-storey heritage building formerly known as "Nelson's Laundry" and two modern 11-storey structures to support innovative light industrial uses, offices, daycare, and dining options. The integration of these buildings with industrial and commercial uses, aligning with the Broadway Plan, has been carefully considered to serve the community's dynamic needs.

A cornerstone of this development is the creation of new public spaces, such as an outdoor mid-block heritage courtyard for performances and an arts & culture plaza. Architectural interventions will strengthen the public realm along 4th Street, enhancing street frontage and laneway activation to breathe life into the Ontario Street Greenway. This approach ensures the space becomes a destination rather than merely a passageway.

My role in the project as part of the architectural team and computational design lead during the LOE and Rezoning phases involved intense collaboration, creativity, and technological innovation. I steered the development of complex architectural designs, ensuring the fusion of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. My commitment to employing cutting-edge computational techniques contributed to the project's vision, aligning it with broader urban goals and enriching the Mount Pleasant Industrial Area community fabric.
